"fem chic" (pronounced: femme \ˈshēk\) is how I describe my enchanted, inspired, and sensual way of living. Fem chic embodies: Falling in love with who you are, French Bohemian, the lace, ruffles, and pearls from the 1920's, the passionate feminine energy of the Tantric, a sprinkle of American Indian princess feathers, and a dash of Coco Chanel, kissed by Shabby Chic. I want to be your muse and romance you with the 'meilleur du mieux' of what stirs my souls. Life, music, self-love, fashion, decor, art, dessert, food, sexiness, wine, lattes, stories, and more. Please take all you want and pass it along. Bon appétit mon chéri! - Rashaan Cruzé

My love affair with David Rio.

If you know me, you know that of the top three things in my life, David Rio is one of them. David Rio Tiger Spice Chai mix. Oh….ma…GOD. I dare you to try it. Seriously. I double dog dare you. I have now officially turned six people into Tiger Spice addicts. I had the lovely opportunity to try all their flavors, Tiger Spice being my ultimate fav, Elephant Vanilla is quite heanvely and if you want the decaf or sugar free option they are divinely delicious as well. David Rio describes their Tiger Spice as "a rich and creamy mixture of black tea and premium spices including cinnamon, cardamom and clove". I describe it as liquid love, but that’s just me. Just sayin’.

Please do not come after me in full rage because you have to spend all your money on chai lattes. You must take responsibility for you own actions. Ha ha ha. You can buy David Rio from stores like Cost Plus World Market and some cafes have it. I strongly suggest having a few canisters of it in your cupboard (with an extra for back up in case you run out). I usually have mine as a mid-day treat because it is sweet, a little spicy, and gives you the perfect little caffeine nudge.

Here’s the way I make mine: #1 I heat up 7 oz of rice milk. #2 When it gets really warm I put in 2 tablespoons of the mix. #3 I stir it really good. #4 Just before it starts to boil I take if off the stove. #5 (Most important step of all) I do a “pre-chai hip-hop dance move” out of sheer excitement.

Because I am a ridiculous...I had to take a photo of me with the chai mix. Please do not judge me, I couldn’t resist. Oh and here’s me in very own special David Rio Chai T-shirt. I had to reenact how the Tiger would be if it drank a chai latte...which is why I look super fierce and ready to pounce.

David Rio, you are my amour secret jusqu'à la fin des temps. Please be with me to my death.

Yours truly,

Rashaan
